It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ed Collett announce his passing on Sunday, April 17th, 2011 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 73 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife Margaret; children: Meta (Hughie Wentzell), Richard, Bernice (Harvey House Jr.), Harvey, Oscar and Marie (Greg Payne); grandchildren: Michelle, Leon, Justin, Jason, Dagan, Randy and Jordan; great-grandchildren: Cameron and Kirah; brothers and sisters: Fred Collett (Olive), Neil Collett (Marg), Lily Perry, Grace (Harold Sheppard); brother-in-law Robert Brown, sister-in-law: Sonora Collett, as well as a large circle of brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents: Neil and Alice, sister Effie, brother Douglas, mother and father-in-law: Rita and Maurice Caines and brothers-in-law: William Perry and Ralph Caines. Granting his wishes, cremation has taken place at Humber Valley Crematorium, Pasadena. A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 20th at 2:00 p.m. from St. Joseph’s Anglican Church, Portland Creek, Bishop Leonard Whitten officiating. Burial will take place at a later date.
