Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre surrounded by his family on Saturday, September 2, 2017. Predeceased by his wife, Mary (nee Greene) and all in-laws of the Greene family; sister, Loretto; brothers, Gerard (Margaret), Rexford (Megan), Gordon (Bertha), Kevin (Molly), William (Clare) and Otto (Ida); brothers-in-law, Phillip O'Brien and James Keough. Casimir leaves to mourn, his loving and devoted wife, Monica (nee O'Brien); children, Charles (Janet), Elizabeth and Joseph (Marlene); grandchildren, Michael (Heather), Danielle (Adam), Nicholas, Maria, David and Stephen; great-grandchildren, Landon, Luke and Alexander; sisters-in-law, Anna (Keough) and Virginia (Don Jones); brother-in-law, Andrew (Dot) as well as his nieces, nephews and many friends. Cas, as he was known to everybody, had a long career as a dedicated teacher at St. Pius X schools and was a devoted member of the St. Pius X Church community. Remembered for his kind and pleasant demeanor and quick smile; he will be missed by all. Our deepest gratitude extended to the medical, professional and hospital staff of 4 South B, especially the nurses, for their tireless and compassionate care of our father in his last days. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Monday from 7-9 pm and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will take place at St. Pius X Church on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at 9:30 am. Cremation will follow with inurnment to take place in Cape Broyle at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 8, 2017. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
