We, the family of the late Freda Ells would like to express our heartfelt thanks to our family, friends and neighbours for the love, support and sympathy shown to our family during her illness and passing. We are extremely grateful to all who expressed their sympathy through cards, online condolences, flowers, prayers, visits, phone calls and memorial donations along with food sent to our homes. To all those who attended the wake and funeral, your presence was greatly appreciated.
To everyone who took part in her funeral service, especially DLM Norma Mills and Rev. Dr. Tommy Whent, the Westmount United Church choir, organist Ray MacKay, readers Tracey Grabher and Leanne Breen, we thank you. Many thanks to the pallbearers Brent MacLeod, Joe Larade, Fred Chezenko, Billy MacLeod, Joe Mombourquette and Rick Thompson. Mom would have been so proud of each of you. A very special thank you to Joe Larade for the wonderful eulogy and stories which depicted Mom as the wonderful neighbour and friend to all that she was. We thank the members of Queen Elizabeth Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star for their touching ceremony which was held at the funeral chapel at the beginning of the wake. Thank you to the members of the UCW of Westmount United Church for the delicious luncheon you provided.
Thank you to those who traveled great distances to share our sorrow and support our family. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the management and staff of Sydney Memorial Chapel, especially Kollin, Joe, Ken, Liam, Sherry and Wayne for their guidance, compassion and professionalism during such a difficult time.
The kindness shown to us will never be forgotten.
