Theresa ‘Dolly’ MacNeil, 94, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2009, in Harbourstone Enhanced Care Facility, Sydney, where she resided.
Born in Big Pond, she was the daughter of the late Angus and Catherine (Campbell) MacNeil.
Dolly was a member of Sacred Heart parish, Johnstown, as well as a member of the CWL, where she was very active in many church and community activities.
She is survived by her five sons; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John R. ‘Roddy’ MacNeil, and many brothers and sisters.
Visitation for Dolly MacNeil will take place Friday, Aug. 7 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel. A funeral mass will be celebrated 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8 at Sacred Heart Church, Johnstown, with Rev. Joe Gillis officiating. Burial to take place in the parish cemetery.
