Passed away suddenly February 18, 2008, at her home, Carrie Banfield-Burden age 68 years. Predeceased by her parents William and Hannah Banfield and her brother Horatio. Leaving to mourn loving husband George; stepchildren: Donna (Patrick) Schlacter, Denver, CO, Karen (John) Comerford, Carbonear, NL, Paul (Tina), Mississauga, ON, David (Margaret), Red Deer, AB; grandchildren: Adam, Andrew, Makayla, Alex, Elizabeth and James. Also leaving to mourn in Conception Bay South, NL, sister-in-law, Joan Banfield (Moulton); nieces and nephews: Rick (Leona) Banfield, Debbie (Wayne) Follett, Terry (Elizabeth) Banfield, David (Sherry) Banfield and Jackie (Dave) Williams; great-nieces and great-nephews: Rodney, Mandy, Matthew, Andrew, Amanda, Ashley, Mark, Joshua, and Grace; as well as a large circle of friends. Interment by cremation. No flowers, visitation or service at the request of Carrie. A private family memorial to be held at a later date.
