Peacefully, of a broken heart, at Chartwell Lancaster Long Term Care on Saturday, September 9, 2017. Arcade Ménard of Lancaster, formerly of Alexandria at the age of 92. Arcade is reunited in heaven with his angel and beloved wife of 66 years, Ghislaine Ménard (née Lefebvre), who passed away on July 25, 2017. Loving father of André Ménard (Fernande), Suzanne Jolicoeur-Ménard (Ronald Sarault), Jean Ménard and Luc Ménard (late Gisèle). Proud grandfather of Simon (Veronic), Alexandre (Sophie), Denis, Sophie (Dave), Karine, Mélanie (Paul), Mélissa, Stéphanie (David) and Josée (Scotty); and great grandfather of William, Stella, Lyam, Felix, Addison, Adrian, Liv and Neve. Survived by his siblings Jeannine Campeau (late Roger), Thérèse Deguire (Laurier), Gilles (Lise) and Bernard (Jeannine). Predeceased by his parents William Ménard and Clara Ménard (née Poirier); and his siblings Aldema (late Anna), Marie, Rheal (Adrienne), Charles (late Annette), Raymond (late Yvette), Armand (Cecile), Alcide (late Laurette), Hervé (Fleurette), Mederic (Glorisa), Lucien (Olivette) and Jean-Guy. Arcade will be fondly remembered by his extended family, neighbours, colleauges at Kraft and many friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated at Église Sainte-Marie-de-l'Assomption, Green Valley on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 11 am. Interment, Cimetière Ste-Marie-de-l’Assomption, Green Valley. A reception will follow at the Salon Funéraire Glengarry Funeral Home Reception Centre. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
