Johnny was a very kind, loving and generous man. He loved his family and the children especially. Every time I get together with the family, our grandchildren always want to hear stories about Poppy Johnny. They miss him and we laugh around the table about Johnny’s stories. Each one of them has their own story about the “time” Johnny did something with them. Even the youngest granddaughter brags that Johnny came to B.C. for her birth. When I’m in Cape Breton, not a day goes by that his name doesn’t come up a dozen times. It’s like he’s still here with us. On this day of the anniversary of his untimely death, I wish that everyone who knew & loved him will take a moment to remember the awesome man he was. May he be safe in the arms of Jesus. Until we meet again.
