MENARD, Trudy Ellen — 57, of Windsor, Hants County, passed away Monday, April 11, 2011 in the Windsor Elms Village, Falmouth. Born on October 20, 1953, in Halifax, she is the daughter of Gertrude Murphy and the late Daniel Murphy. Trudy worked most of her life as a nurses aid in Nova Scotia and British Columbia. Surviving are her husband, Serge; son, Jason, Windsor; mother, Gertrude Murphy, Falmouth; sisters, Susan (PJ) Grondin, Lower Sackville, Jeanette (Gilles) Diotte, Saint Paul De La Croix; brothers, Danny (Donna) Murphy, Burlington, Ont., Barry (Joanne) Murphy, Belnan, Donald “Donnie” Murphy, Dutch Settlement; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her son, Kenny (Jennifer) Menard, Duncan, B.C.; brother, Artie Murphy, Edmonton, A.B. Cremation has taken place under the care of Lindsay`s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor. There was no visitation by request. Memorial service was held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 15, 2011, in St. John The Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 339 King Street, Windsor. Rev. Father Ignatius Amponsah officiated.
