HAMILTON, David George- 34, Harbourville, Kings Co. It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of a proud fisherman on Saturday, April 9, 2011. David was born in Berwick, Kings Co., on July 21, 1976. He lived all of his life on the shores of Morden and Harbourville. In David’s younger years, he was involved in Junior Hockey at West Kings District High School, Auburn, where he was a graduate and was a member of the Aylesford Scouting Movement and played on a Aylesford Baseball team. In recent years David played hockey for the Rec. Hockey League in Berwick and was an avid hunter and baseball card collector and player. Captain David Hamilton's passion was his boat, “Let it Ride” and his weir which he built with heart and soul every year. He was strong willed and a loving man who was faithful to all. In 2007, David received a medal of bravery from the Governor General of Canada for saving a woman from the unforgiving tides of the Bay of Fundy, and had also received the medal of honour from the Premier of Nova Scotia. Over the years, he worked for Stephen Saunders, Weston and Hamilton Seafoods Limited, Harbourville. David enjoyed many hours sight seeing with his “Grampy Strum” .
