COLLINS, AGNES A. - Agnes A. Collins of Rothesay devoted widow of the late Roden V. Collins, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour in the morning hours of April 19th, 2011. Born October of 1923 in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Frances Morrison. In her earlier years she worked for the CPR, later devoted herself to her family. She was a member of the Rothesay Baptist Church, former member of the Waterloo Baptist Church, Past President of the Women Missionary Society and Hampton Ladies Curling Club; a past member of the Quilting Guild and was an avid swimmer. Agnes is survived by her daughter Vicky Mills (John) of Quispamsis; sons Robert (Joan) of Rothesay, David (Heather) of Saint John, Kenneth (Annette), Gary (Shasta) and Mark (Donna) all of Rothesay; brothers George Morrison of Saint John, Donald of Sand Point and Darrell (Ann) of Grand Bay Westfield; one sister Marianne White of Quispamsis; sister-in-law Kathleen Collins of Saint John; 14 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and friends.
Resting at the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 23rd, 2011 at the Rothesay Baptist Church, 30 Vincent Road, Rothesay, on Saturday, April 23, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Fernhill Cemetery, Saint John.
