SCOTT, KAREN ELIZABETH (MacKAY) - With her loving family by her side, Karen Scott passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on April 19th, 2011. Karen was born in Sussex, NB on August 21st, 1948, daughter of the late Alexander and Mildred (Wilkins) McKay. Karen is survived by her soul mate and loving husband, Arnold; children, Stephen (Jolene) Scott, Leduc Alberta, Tammy (Alen) Zigante, Rothesay, Jennifer (Owen) MacDonald, Fredericton, Murray Scott, Hampton; grandchildren, Mila, Jack, Isabella, Rothesay, Sarah, Alex, Daniel, Saint John, Ava, Cullen, Fredericton, Maddy, Breanne, Abby, Leduc, Alberta; (all special gems in Karen’s Heart), brothers, Frank (Barb) McKay, Sussex, Jack (Sue) McKay, Markhamville, Rick (Pat) McKay Sundre, Alberta; sister, Diane (Mel) Mahoney-Dyck, Olds, Alberta; sisters-in-law, Gertrude (Don) Cunningham, Markhamville, Pauline (Huntley) Chisholm, London ON; mother-in-law, Mary (Scott) Wilkins, Markhamville; aunt Bertha (McKay) Robinson, Apohaqui; uncle Elmer (Phyllis) Wilkins, Sussex; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles; and special friends, Norman and Cheryl McKay, Quispamsis, and Mary and Allan Creighton of Sussex. Karen graduated from Sussex High School in 1966, and will be deeply missed by all whom lives she touched.
A memorial service will be held from Sussex Corner United Church on Friday, April 22nd, 2011, at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place in Hampton Rural Cemetery.
