We, the family of the late Mary Loretta Ryan wish to express sincere thanks to our family and friends who were so kind during our recent loss. To everyone who telephoned, visited our home, sent Mass cards, on-line condolences, floral tributes, gifts of food and memorial donations in Mother’s name, thank you. Thank you, Father Paul MacNeil, for the kindness shown to our family and for the beautiful funeral Mass and your touching Homily. Special thanks are also extended to those who participated in the Mass, including the Pallbearers (Mother’s six grandchildren), the Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, Altar Servers, and the St. Leonard’s Parish Funeral Choir for the beautiful hymns during Mass. To Patsy Murgatroyd, Mother’s niece, thank you for the beautiful solo hymns during the Mass. Thanks are also extended to the ladies of the St. Leonard Parish/St. Agnes CWL who provided a lovely luncheon following the funeral.
Special thanks to the staff at the Cove Guest Home, especially those on the Orchard Wing, for the special care given to Mother during her four years of residency; she considered you all her friends. We want the nursing staff to know that we appreciated having the “Supper Meds†ready for us on Sunday when we took Mother home for her weekly visit.
To all of Mother’s nieces and nephews, grandchildren and friends who visited her at the Cove, thank you so much for your kindness.
We would also like to thank the emergency room staff at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital for the caring medical attention extended to Mother during her brief stay. Mother – you will be missed and never forgotten.
