The family of the late Wayne MacPherson who passed away on July 22, 2009 after a 10 month battle with cancer wish to express our sincere thanks to family and friends, who phoned, sent sympathy cards, flowers, monetary donations and gifts of food. To those who visited the funeral home and attended the funeral your presence and prayers meant a lot to us. A special thank you to Dr. Ron MacCormick and the staff at the Cape Breton Cancer Centre who always put a smile on dads face with their kindness and caring. To Palliative Care and their wonderful staff with a special thanks to Dr. John Ritter and Sharon Baron, you made this difficult time for Dad much more comfortable. A heartfelt appreciation to all of Dad's antique car friends who made a procession from Sydney to Port Hastings, this was very special. To Dad's best friend Hector Campbell, if only we could all have a friend as wonderful as you. To the pallbearers, Bruce, Louis, Jonathan, Tom, Lyle and Hector, thank you for performing this last great honor of taking Dad to his final resting place. We would also like to extend sincere thanks to Wayne Weatherbee and his staff at Sydney Memorial Chapel for the professionalism and personal touch at this most difficult time. Our sincere thanks to the choir of Trinity United Church, the organist and to Rev. Robert Hussey for his beautiful service and prayers. To Lloyd and Shaun MacDonald, thank you for your eloquent music which welcomed people as they entered the church service. To all, your love and kindness will never be forgotten.
