Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Tuesday, September 26, 2017, Melvin Ash, age 85 years. Predeceased by his parents: Harold and Gladys; brother Harold. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 64 years Joyce; children: Randy (Sharon), Beverley, Judy (Chris) and Dawn (Hicham); sister Viola; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Thursday, September 28, 2017 from 7-9 pm. Funeral service to take place at Barrett's Chapel on Friday, September 29. Inurnment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Blackmarsh Road. In lieu of flowers, donations in Melvin's memory may be made to the Salvation Army.
