Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, St. John’s on Saturday, April 16, 2011 Mary M. Scott of Job’s Cove, age 77 years. Predeceased by 1st husband: John Royal; parents: Patrick and Sarah Oliver; son: William; grandson: Robbie; sisters: Laura (Oliver) Power, Clare Power and Philomena Oliver. Left to mourn husband: Richard; two daughters: Betty (Jim) Clarke, Job’s Cove and Laura (Lawrence) Wheeler, Lower Island Cove; six sons: Patrick (Joselyn), Job’s Cove, John (Pam), St. John’s, Will (Berdina), Lower Island Cove, Jim (Diane), Job’s Cove, Tony (Lois), Old Perlican and Edward (Bernadine), Job’s Cove; twenty-one grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two brothers: Jim (Rose) Oliver, Gull Island and Patrick Oliver, Ontario; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Rested at Noel’s Funeral Home, Main Highway, Western Bay. Fr. Pio Sumbilon conducted the funeral Mass on Tuesday, April 19 at Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church, Northern Bay.
