Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family, Allan Payne at the Bonne Bay Health Center in Norris Point on Wednesday August 5th 2009 in his 81 year. Allan was predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Annie, and his infant sons: John & Harrison. Allan will be missed by his devoted daughter Leona (Hughie), his son Roy, sisters: Lizzie (Alonzo) Payne, & Florence Payne, his brother Calvin (Virginia) Payne, his sisters in law: Dulcie Payne, Rita Hobbs, & Alma Bowers, his brothers-in-law: Eric (Bertha) Norris, Obediah (Violet) Norris, & Max (Pearl) Norris, his grandchildren: Alan (Maxine) Angie (Cory), Shawn, Andy (Stacy), Chris, Gregory, Craig, & Herman, great grandchildren: Jack, Sophie, Rhys, Amy, Spencer, & Kayla. Also leaves to mourn a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, family and friends. The family will be receiving family and friends from St. Matthews Anglican Church in Rocky Harbour Friday August 7th 2009, from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., from where also the funeral service will take place on Saturday August 8th 2009, at 2 p.m., Rev. John Olsson officiating with the interment to follow at the church cemetery in Rocky Harbour, NL.
