Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on Saturday, September 30, 2017. Tom Ring, age 68 years was predeceased by his mother, Vivian (nee Williams); brother, Bernard; infant son, Shane and his parents-in-law, Henry and Stella Simms. Tom leaves to mourn, his loving wife, Linda; two daughters who were the light of their Dad's heart, Jennifer Power (Gary) and Lacey; his three beautiful grandchildren who completed his life, Hannah Power, Ethan and Joshua Ring; his father, Patrick; brothers, Jim (Mary) and Pat (Dawn); sister, Linda O'Brien (John); sister-in-law, Marie Murphy and brothers-in-law, Craig Simms (Denean) and Dave Murphy. Tom also leaves behind, many nieces and nephews who were a big part of his life, Keith Murphy (Paula: Ryan and Rebecca), Renee Murphy (Jason: Brady), Glen Murphy (Willomena: Olivia and David), Michelle Finley (Daniel), Breanna Heath, Gillian Costello (Neal: Evey and Eli), Tammy Ring (Chris Coady: Ethan and Bridget), Dana Ring (Matt McKnight: Finley and Molly), Scott Ring and Shannon Ring (Parker) as well as two very special friends, Ken Power and Nelson Pitcher and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Special thanks to Dr. Percy Crocker and Dr. McCarthy and her team at the Cancer Clinic. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Monday from 2-9pm and Tuesday from 10am-9pm. Funeral Mass will take place at 9:30 am on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 from St. Paul's Church with cremation to follow. Flowers are gratefully accepted or donations in Tom's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
