Passed peacefully away at home in the loving presence of her son, John and daughter-in-law Brenda, with whom she lived, on Wednesday, August 5th, 2009, Alice J. Stamp (1909-2009). Predeceased by son David Jr. (Nov. 1976), husband David Sr. (June 1982), brothers Rich, Leo, Jack and Reg, sisters Mary Mercer and Elizabeth Shanahan and special sister-in-law Dorothy Coombs. Left with fond and loving memories daughter Elizabeth (Wilf) Casey; son John (Brenda); cherished grandchildren: Dave Stamp (Andrea), Honolulu, Hawaii, Sean Casey (Deanne), Los Angeles, California, Shannon C. Stamp (Amy), Raleigh, N.C., Shana (Chris) Knowles, Toronto, Tina (Alex) Dalziel, Ottawa, Shannon R. Stamp, St. John’s and Aaron Stamp, St. John\'s; three great-grandchildren: Tyler Alice Stamp, Hunter Knowles and Emery Dalziel, also a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Resting at Caul\'s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Friday, August 7 from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Paul’s Church, Newfoundland Drive at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 8th. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. No flowers by request but a donation in Alice\'s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
