The death occurred peacefully, at the Summerset Manor, Summerside, on Thursday, April 21, 2011, of Florence Elizabeth Simmons, of Summerside, aged 85 years. Born in Northam, PE, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Bertha (Birch) Dyment. Survived by her children Edward (Eleanor) Simmons, Amherst, NS; Nancy (George) McDonald, Ottawa, ON; Douglas (Christine) Simmons, Summerside; Ross Simmons (Wendy Mitchell), Airdrie, AB; Ian Simmons, Summerside; and daughter-in-law Tammy Simmons, Summerside; grandchildren Kim, Jason, Justin, Shelley, Lila, Nicholas, Thane, Tara, Stephanie, Desirée, Daniel and Hayley; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers Earle Dyment (late Wanda), Wilmot Valley; Royden Dyment, Toronto; and by sister-in-law Ella Simmons, Summerside. Predeceased by her husband Eldred Simmons. Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, where funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. Interment later in Peoples Cemetery, Summerside. Visiting hours Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial donations to the Summerset Manor Equipment Fund would be appreciated.
