POIRIER, MARIE-ANGE - It is with great sadness the family of Marie-Ange announce her death, which occurred at Bobby’s Hospice House surrounded by her loving family on April 23rd, 2011. Marie-Ange was born in St.- Ignace to the late Narcisse and Yvonnice (Allain) Johnson. Marie-Ange was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a Supply Teacher for many years working for Crescent Valley, Millidgeville North and Samuel-De-Champlain Schools. A member of St. Francois de Sales Church and L’Arc-en-Ciel Seniors Club. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing cards and gardening. Marie-Ange is survived by her loving husband of 36 years Arthur Poirier of Musquash; two sons Jean-Marc (Colleen) of Quispamsis and Paul of Musquash; two precious grandsons Benjamin and Liam; eight brothers Laurie, Donald (Camilla), Claude, Edgar all of St.- Ignace, Bernard of Greenfield, MA, Leo-Paul, Camille (Marielle) and Yvon all of St.- Ignace; six sisters Sr. Yvette Johnson CDN of La Romaine, PQ, Jeannette Johnson of Richbucto, Jacqueline Thebeau (Alphee) of St-Ignace, Yvonne Pellerin (Tony) of Bowmanville, ON, Roberte Guimond (Paul) of St. Louis-de-Kent and Jacinthe Johnson of Richibucto; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Resting at the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, (646-2424) with visitation on Tuesday, April 26th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Francois de Sales Church, 77 Raged Point Road, on Wednesday, April 27th at 11:00 a.m., followed by a reception. Private family interment to take place in Rogersville at later date. Donations in Marie-Ange’s memory can be made to the Bobby Hospice House at 385 Dufferin Row, Saint John.
