Passed peacefully away at the Harbour Lodge Nursing Home on April 24, 2011 in the presence of her family, Laura (Mansfield) Ash, of Hant’s Harbour, aged 92 years. Predeceased by first husband, George Mansfield (1949) and Bertram Ash (May 24, 2009). Leaving to mourn daughters Annie Mansfield, Victoria; Muriel Ash (Wilfred), Hant’s Harbour; Lillian (Hayward) Russell, Victoria; sons Gideon (Victoria), Hant’s Harbour and Ronald (Janette), Conception Bay South; stepson Newton (Joan), Hant’s Harbour; step-daughters: Peggy (Ted) Belbin, Newmarket, Ontario, Patsy (Rick), Port Credit, Ontario and Rona, Mount Pearl; sister Mabel (Ralph) Critch, Hant’s Harbour; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and also a number of step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Also leaving to mourn a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Green’s Funeral Home, Winterton. Visiting hours Monday 7-9 p.m., Tuesday 2 -4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday 10 a.m.-12 noon. Funeral service to take place at 2 p.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel, Winterton. Interment in the Salvation Army Cemetery, Hant’s Harbour. No flowers by request, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
