Norma Postlethwaite

With great sadness, we, the family of Norma Elizabeth Postlethwaite, announce her passing at Harbourstone Enhanced Care, Sydney, on October 29, 2017. She died peacefully with family at her bedside. Her beloved husband of 63 years, James ‘Jim’ preceded her passing by just one month.
Born April 15, 1931, in Sydney, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Grace (Hardy) Anthony.
Norma was a much loved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was very proud of her family. Norma had also retired from a retail store, where she enjoyed working in sales.
She is survived by her daughter, Raylene (Lowell) Johnstone; sons, Kevin (Sharon) and Sheldon (Mabel); daughter-in-law, Sandra; grandchildren, Robert (Yun) Johnstone and Rachael Johnstone (Christopher), Samantha, James, Timothy (Sarah) and David (Brittany) Postlethwaite; step-grandchildren, Teagan, Evan and Lilly, and great-grandchildren, Nora and Riley James.
Norma was predeceased by her husband, James; sons, Bradley and Richard; sisters, Alfreda Anthony, Lyle Anthony and Frances Burton, and brothers, Ross and Gordon (in infancy).
A private family funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 2 at 2 p.m. at Sydney Memorial Chapel, followed by interment in Hardwood Hill Cemetery.
