Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family, on Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at St. Luke's Home, Mary Margaret Matilda Stamp (nee McGrath), of St. Stephen's, S.M.B. aged 77 years. Predeceased by parents Patrick & Mary McGrath, sisters Beatrice Hicks and Alice McGrath; brothers Patrick, Hubert and Adrian McGrath, parents-in-law James & Madeline Stamp, sister-in-law Hilda Peach and brothers-in-law Ben and Gerard Stamp. Leaving to mourn her devoted husband and best friend of 58 years, Augustine "Gus" Stamp, daughters Carly and Rhonda Stamp, son Wayne (Jennifer), grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters Anne (Joseph) Pennell and Monica Molloy; brothers Thomas and Leslie McGrath; sisters-in-law Mary McGrath, Gloria Hillier and Theresa (Phil) Gibbons, brother-in-law Reg (Idella) Stamp, plus a large circle of relatives and friends. A very special thank you is extended to Dr. Thomas McGarry and staff of Trepassey Medical Centre, as well as, doctors, nurses and staff of St. Luke's, who cared not only for Mary but also showed exceptional care and compassion to Gus. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Fr. Battcock Memorial Chapel, St. Vincent's, on Friday, November 3, from 2 - 4pm; 7 - 9pm (no visitation on Saturday). Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, November 4, at 10am, at Sacred Heart Church, St. Vincent's. Inurnment to follow at St. Vincent's Cemetery.
