Passed away suddenly on April 25, 2011 at the Lakeridge Hospital in Port Perry, Ontario, in the presence of his loved ones Albert (Junior) Hammond, age 53 years. Junior grew up in Portugal Cove, but spent much of his life living in Ontario. He is predeceased by his parents, Albert and Madeline Hammond, and sister Darlene. He is survived by his partner, Anne Reid, his children Shane, Natasha, Dawn and Melissa, and Anne's children Jason and Jamie. He is also survived by his sisters, Linda (Bill) Rose and Charlotte (Bud) Butler, Portugal Cove; and brother Patrick (Carolyn) Hammond, Goulds, and his aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews and friends. Resting at Low & Low Funeral Home, Port Perry, Ontario on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm followed by a memorial service at Low's Chapel.
