ONTARIO – Frances Grosvold-Grills died suddenly on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 in the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, ON.
She was born on April 21, 1928 in Lynn, Mass. Mom lived in Priestville for many years until moving to Toronto in the early 70’s. She and her second husband (Verne Grills) moved outside of Napanee, ON after retirement. About18 months ago Mom went to live with her oldest son Wayne in Aylmer, ON.
She is survived by seven children: Wayne (Sheila), Aylmer, ON; Lynda Grosvold-MacDonald (Jack), Westville; Steven (Debbie), Bible Hill; Daniel (Patricia), Westville; Nancy Lee Grosvold-Baudoux (Bob), Westville Rd; Florence Grosvold-Sparks (Keith) and Nathan, both of Pickering, ON. Also surviving are a sister, Shirley Staffen; brother, Harvey Mosher; step-sons, Ronald and Peter Grills, all of ON; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Sigvart Grosvold (1972); second husband Verne Grills (2003); parents, Ed and Lillian Mosher, Summerville, Hants County; a daughter Evelyn Ann in infancy; step-son Allan Grills and a brother Lloyd Mosher.
Funeral service was held Saturday, August 1, 2009 at the Wannamaker-Tierney Funeral Home, Napanee, with internment in nearby Bethany Cemetery.
