Mary Murphy
The death occurred peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Charlottetown, on Wednesday, November 8, 2017, of Mary Murphy (nee Matta), beloved wife of the late Fred Murphy, of Rocky Point, aged 91. Mary was the dear mother of Patricia, David (Marian), Judy Chandler (Walter), Edith, Janet, Greg (Margaret), Anne MacRae (John) and Donald (Angela). She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Anne, Pam, Jennifer, Jodi Lynne, Melissa, Melinda, Sandy, Christopher, Michael and Laura; and her 12 great-grandchildren. Besides her husband Fred, Mary was predeceased by her parents, George and Annie Matta; sister, Anna Whitlock; and brother, George Matta. Resting at the Father Clare Macdonald Lounge, St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, Cornwall, for visitation on Thursday, November 9, 2017, from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church on Friday, November 10, 2017, at 11 a.m. Interment in St. Martin of Tours and St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, Cumberland.
