Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home, on April 28th, 2011, age 99 years 8 months. Predeceased by her oldest son Frank, 2008. She was the eldest and last surviving member of the family of Richard and Catherine Murphy. Leaving with fond and cherished memories, her six children: Madonna Johnson (Jim), Patsy Tricco (Ed), Joan Crouse (Robert), Agatha, Don, Richard (Mary); daughter-in-law Verna; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Special thanks to Dr. Patrick O’Shea and the excellent staff of 3 West and the staff from all the Departments at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home for their loving care of our mother. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Friday from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Monday, May 2nd, at 11 a.m. from Holy Rosary Church, Portugal Cove. Inurnment to follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery, Portugal Cove. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Mom’s memory may be made to St. Patrick’s Mercy Home or a charity of one’s choice.
