Passed peacefully away, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, April 28, 2011, Sylvia Connors, age 64 years. Predeceased by her parents, John and Mary (Morrissey) Connors, brothers Ted, Cyril, Paul and Patrick, brother-in-law Tom Power and sister-in-law Barbara, nieces Lisa Prince and Jennifer Connors. Left to celebrate her life are sisters: Betty, Mary (Allan) and Ann; brothers: Jack (Cynthia), Fred (Rosalind), David (Linda), Frank (Barbara), Harold (Margaret), Terry (Audrey); sisters-in-law: Rose and Anne, also leaving 29 nephews and nieces as well as a large circle of friends and other family too numerous to name. Special thanks to the caring staff at Eastern Health, in particular the community services nurses, Theresa Tulk and Stephanie Power, who visited with her daily. And a special thank you to Father Leo English for his kindness shown during his many visits. Sylvia was a former employee of Aliant Telephone and followed in the footsteps of her parents as a dedicated member of numerous organizations within St. Teresa’s Parish as well as a member of the Church Choir. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Monday, May 2nd, at 9:30 a.m. from St. Teresa’s Church, Mundy Pond Road. Cremation to follow. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations can be made, in lieu, to the Canadian Cancer Society or the St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Teresa’s Parish.
