MACDONALD, Darren Laurie - 47, of Wellington, Yarmouth Co., passed away in Yarmouth Regional Hospital on April 23, 2011. Born in Yarmouth on January 13, 1964, he was a son of Burton and Florence (Penchard) MacDonald. Darren loved hunting, fishing and bird watching. Besides his parents, he is survived by wife, Peggy (Vacon); daughter, Joline, Wellington; sons, Chad, Camrose, Alta.; Matthew, Wellington; brother, Blair (Deb), Fall River; uncle, Owen (Gail), Ontario; aunts, Florence Smith, Yarmouth; Marie Boutilier, Ottawa; grandchildren, Ethan, Jayden and Madison. He was predeceased by uncle, Harold. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny's Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Yarmouth. Visitation took place Tuesday, April 26 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service was held Wednesday, April 27 at 11 a.m. at Sweeny's Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. A.D. “Bill” Newell officiated. Interment followed in Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or to a charity of your choice.
