LeBLANC, Rosalie - 85, Wedgeport, Yarmouth Co., passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born September 13, 1925 in Wedgeport, she was a daughter of the late Benoit and Eugenie (LeBlanc) LeBlanc. Rosalie was a homemaker and she enjoyed quilting and knitting. Surviving are her children, Benjamin (Dianne) Richard, Kentville; Paul (Susan) Richard, Wedgeport; Melvin (Lois) Richard, Halifax; step-children, Annie (Aldric) d'Entremont, West Pubnico; Rita (Camille) Doucette, Belleville; Joanne (Dale) McDonald, Fall River; Gerald (Donna) LeBlanc, Lakeview, Halifax Co.; grandchildren, Chester, Glen and Kimberly; great grandchildren, Claude and Phillip; a brother, William (Marion) LeBlanc, Wedgeport; sisters, Yvonne Lacau, Malden, Mass.; Marietta LeBlanc, Montreal. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Edward Richard, as well as by her second husband, Arthur LeBlanc; brothers, Benjamin in infancy, Ellis, Cleveland, Wallace and Manuel; sisters, Ursula, Betty and Nora. Visitation took place from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday with prayers at 8 p.m. at H. M. Huskilson's Funeral Home, Wedgeport. The funeral mass was held Friday, April 29, at 11 a.m. at Saint Michael's Catholic Church, Wedgeport, Father Wieslaw Papuga and Msgr. Gerald LeBlanc officiated. Interment followed in the parish cemetery. It was requested that there be family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice.
