Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, Philomena Mary Hearty, age 87 years. Predeceased by her husband John, 1996, sister Mary McCarthy. Leaving to mourn sons Tony (Jocelyne), Todd and Terry (Carm); daughters Patsy (Theo), four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Also leaving to mourn sisters Margaret, Ann Greene (Pat - deceased), Bride Ricketts (Bill - deceased) ,Catherine Brennan (Dom), Clare Martin and brother Ted Moore (Elizabeth). Special thanks to the nurses and staff of 4 West St. Clare's Mercy Hospital. Also leaving a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, 84 Lemarchant Road on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 25, 2017 from St. Peter's Church, Ashford Drive, Mount Pearl with interment to follow at the Field of Honour, Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Society.
