The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2009, of Joseph Alcide “Joe” Arsenault of Summerside at the age of 70 years. He is the owner-operator of J.A. Electric and Café Plus. He is the son of late Sylvere and Emelia Arsenault. He is survived by his common-law wife, Marjorie Walker, and his daughter, Madeleine Arsenault of Moncton, N.B., and her mother, Leona Bernard of Maximeville, and also by brother and sisters, Beatrice (Al) Cavanaugh of Oshawa, Ont., Leo S (Eva) Arsenault of Abram-Village, and Lorraine (Martin) Gallant of St. Raphael, and several nieces and nephews. Resting at the Evangeline Funeral Home, Urbainville, until Thursday, then to St. Philippe & St. Jacques Church in Egmont Bay for funeral mass at 4 p.m. Visitation shall be received on Wednesday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to A.L.S. (LouGehrig) Society or charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
