Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on August 10, 2009, Margaret (Peggy) McBay. Age 92 years. Predeceased by her loving husband Peter, beloved grandson Paul MacBay, parents George and Isabella Garland, brothers: Fred and Walter; sisters: Sara, Amy, Alma and Edith. Leaving to mourn her loving daughters: Lois (Don Gill) and Heather; darling granddaughter Katherine; loving grandsons: David Gill (Anne) and Peter Gill (Vicki); baby great-grandson Benjamin Gill; brother Alex Garland (Joan); sister Jean Anderson of Chicago; sister-in-law Bell Garland; special nephew John Garland; as well as a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Monday from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m., on Tuesday from 10 a.m. - 12 noon and 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. Funeral service on Wednesday, August 12, 2009, from Barrett’s Chapel at 2 p.m., with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
