It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Esther Bussey on Friday, April 29, 2011.
She was born at Fox Island, Nfld. to the late Arthur and Minnie Coley and she was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Esther is survived by her son, Stuart Young; daughters, Evelyn (Kevin) Donovan, Minnie (Brian) MacLeod; grandchildren, Donna, Daniel, Melissa, Brian, Tyler, Ashley, Kayla and one great-grandchild, Cameron, who was the apple of her eye. She is also survived by her one sister-in-law, Rita Bussey as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Thomas Young; second husband, Roy Bussey; sons, Gilbert Young, George Bussey; daughter-in-law, Florence Young,; sister, Emily Carter; brothers, George and Ivan Coley; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ernest (Ruth) Bussey, Gordon (Eileen) Bussey, Everett Bussey.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 1, 2011 at St. Bartholomew’s Church, Louisbourg from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place 11 a.m. Monday, May 2, 2011 at St. Bartholomew’s Church, Louisbourg with Rev. Laura McCue officiating. Reception to follow.
