Marie Eva Theresa Fenrich passed away on April 27, 2011 in Kamloops, B.C. surrounded by her family's love.

Marie was born on April 9, 1923 at home on the family farm near Wilkie, Saskatchewan to Fred and Ella Feist. Marie grew up in Saskatchewan and worked in Vancouver in the early forties as a nanny. On November 13, 1945, she married Peter Fenrich in Saskatchewan where they spent their early married years. They eventually moved to Edmonton, AB and lived there for almost thirty years. In 1980, Marie and Peter retired to Louis Creek, B.C. Marie enjoyed gardening, sewing, artwork, crafts and puzzles. She was honoured to have served as a lifetime member of the Catholic Women's League. Marie dearly loved her family and spent many hours caring for her grandchildren by playing, reading, and baking with them.

Marie leaves to cherish her memory, her sons Dennis Fenrich of Red Deer, AB and Don Fenrich of Louis Creek, B.C.; and her daughters Betty Woroschuk of Kamloops, B.C. and Phyllis Fenrich of Edmonton, AB. She is also survived by: 12 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; her sisters Kay Schell, Agnes Gerein, Sister Margaret Feist OSU, and Betty Wagner; her brothers Fred (Monique) Feist, Tony (Margie) Feist, Don Feist, and Peter (Marriette) Feist; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Marie was predeceased by her husband Peter in 1995 and her daughter-in-law Marie in 2001.

The Reverend Father Vincent Asomugha will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish, 635 Tranquille Road, Kamloops, B.C. Internment to follow at Hillside Cemetery.

Special thanks to the staff at Overlander Residential Care, South Park wing for taking care of Marie in her last months.
