Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family, at the Health Science Centre, St. John's, Esther Delores Pike (nee Nolan), aged 80 years. Predeceased by parents Thomas and Della Nolan; sisters: Theresa Penney, Rita Lewis, Ellen Penney; brothers: Ambrose, Jackie and Jerome Nolan and daughter-in-law Carol-Ann Pike. Leaving to mourn her loving husband of 60 years James; children: Ben (Wanda), Mercedes (Gary) Daley, Ed (Brenda), Connie (Gordon) Hickey, Derm (Julie), Mary (Norman) Linehan, Nancy (Curtis) McGrath; grandchildren: George, Georgina, Kendra, Dylan, Brady, Leona, James, Katie, Jeffrey, Cheryl, Bruce, Robyn, Madison, Erica, Erin, Heidi, Kyle, Victoria, Kurt, Kacie, Hope; great-grandchildren: Jessica, Emma, George, Molly, Sam, Lyla, Riley; sisters Mary Curran, Agnes Dohey; brother Patrick Nolan and a large circle of relatives and friends. A special thank you is extended to both doctors, nurses and staff of 4NB, Health Science and to the staff and residents of Admirals Coast Retirement Centre, CBS, for your compassion and care. Esther was a devoted follower of Good St. Anne and together with her husband, raised their family in Mount Carmel, St. Mary's Bay, before their residing at Admirals Coast. Resting at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, on Friday, December 1, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 2 at 10 am, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Burial to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to charity of one's choice.
