DOBER, William (Bill) Joseph - May 8, 1927 - April 14, 2011. It is with great sadness that the family of the late William (Bill) Joseph Dober of Marystown announces his passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Thursday April 14, 2011 at he age of 83. Mr. Dober was a founding Charter Member and a past President Member of the Marystown Lions Club. He was also a 4th degree Knight of Columbus. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are wife Theresa of 44 years; sons: Billie of Qatar and Paul (Michelle) of Mooring Cove; daughter Paula of Marystown; sister Susanna Ducey of Marystown; brothers: Michael (Marie) of Marystown, Howard (Kathleen) of Marystown, and Arch (Lillian) of Marystown; granddaughter Laura and step-grandsons Matthew and Mark Harding; plus a large circle of family and friends. Predeceased by parents Richard & Laura Dober, sisters Mary Dober, Genevieve Bland, and Theresa Dober, brothers Richard, Dermot, Walter & Jack Dober.
Funeral Mass took place on Monday April 18, 2011 at 9:30 am from Sacred Heart R.C. Church in Marystown. Interment followed at Roman Catholic Cemetery in Spanish Room. In Bill’s memory, donations may be made to the Marystown Lions Club or Knights of Columbus. No flowers by request of the family.
