MILLER, Herbert Kitchener — Passed peacefully into eternal rest after a short battle with cancer in the presence of his loving family at his home in St. John’s on Saturday, November 1, 2008, Herbert Kitchener Miller in his 93 year. Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Maria Elizabeth Miller (nee King), infant brother John and brother Chester Lawson Miller. Left with fond and loving memories, his devoted and loving wife of 60 years, Genevieve (nee Ash) and his daughter Elizabeth (Betty) and her husband Erik Seaward. Also left to mourn his younger brother Noah (Lily) of Toronto, Ont. brothers-in-law Maurice Ash (Barbara) of Porters Lake, N.S. and Calvin Ash (Maxine) of Portland, Bonavista Bay, N.L., also a number of dear cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Monday and Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Funeral service will be held from St. Thomas Anglican Church on Military Road at 2 p.m. Wednesday with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery on Forest Road.
