Passed peacefully away at the Glenbrook Lodge Nursing Home on August 10, 2009, Helen Blundon of Mount Pearl, aged 94. Predeceased by her parents Harry and Lucy Austin, husband Len, son Len Jr., and brothers: Ned and Alex. Leaving to mourn her son Derrick (Lena); grandsons: Scott, Red Deer, AB, Keith, Ottawa and Carl, Taiwan; sister Joan Sloan (Bill), Kittenset, ON; daughter-in-law Judy; special friends: Mary Ryan, Doris Scurry and Bernard Yetman and family; as well as a large number of other relatives and friends. A special thank you to the staff at Glenbrook and 7th Floor West, St. Clare’s Hospital. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to take place at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 14, 2009 from Barrett’s Mount Pearl Chapel, with interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
