Ivan Freestone Trenholm age 90, of Amherst passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Upper Nappan.
Born in Fort Lawrence, he was a son of the late Charles and Blanche (Smith) Trenholm.
Ivan was a member of Trinity - St. Stephen's United Church and a Charter Member of the Amherst Y's Men's Club.
He retired from the Department of Agriculture in 1984.
Ivan is survived by his special friend, Jessie Wakefield of Amherst; daughters Barb Yorston and Charlotte (Bill) Prime both of Amherst Shore, one son Alan (Jane Stewart) of Halifax, five grandchildren Sandra, Renata, Angela, Michael and Rachel Mae; six great grandchildren; one sister Eileen Wright of Penticton, BC and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife the former Isabel Runcie; son in law, Bob Yorston and two brothers Ralph and Norman.
Cremation has taken place.
Friends and family are invited to a time of visitation on Thursday, August 13, 2009 from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906)
A private funeral service will be held at a later date.
