The death occurred peacefully at the Atlantic Baptist Home, Charlottetown, on Thursday, December 14, 2017, of Stella Ford (nee Moreside), wife of the late Winston Ford, formerly of Oyster Bed Bridge, aged 87. Stella was the mother of Terry, Karl (Becky), Jayne, Trent, Kent (Sally) and James (Robin); and a much loved grandmother and great-grandmother. Stella is also survived by her sisters, Jeanette (Clayton) and Georgie; sisters-in-law, Sheila, Evelyn (Victor), Sandra (John), Ruby (Hughie) and Floyd (Betty); and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Reagh and Blanche (Houston) Moreside; son, Thane; sister, Olga “Ollie” (Grant); brother, Barry (Myrna); sisters-in-law, Doreen, Leona, Lois and Freda; brothers-in-law, Fulton and Jack; and nephews, Wayne and Shawn Ford. Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow. No visitation by personal request. The funeral will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday, December 16, 2017, at 2 p.m. Interment in Winsloe North Cemetery.
