McDonald, Dolores Marion
(Newbold)
Born in small town Saskatchewan in 1935, passed away Saturday April 30, 2011 after making sure the Canucks finally got past the Blackhawks! She wore blue jeans when poodle skirts were “the rage” and listened to Hank Snow when Elvis was the king. Setting herself apart was her way but never being left behind her mantra. A gifted knitter with a keen mind and a passion for current affairs she embraced email long before it was cool and thought nothing of meeting her brother for coffee at 2am. “You can’t stop living your life” was her favorite expression and she never did. She was predeceased by her parents Lillian and Donald, brothers Duane and Ingram. She is survived by daughter Mary Lou, favorite son in law Stephen and good friends Jean and Don.
The family would like to sincerely thank Dr. Dorothy Hamilton and all others who lovingly cared for Dolores during the past few years.
If you desire, a donation in memory of Dolores can be made to the Victoria branch of the SPCA.
