Passed peacefully away at the Hoyles Escasoni Complex on May 2, 2011, Gwen Miles, aged 90 years. Predeceased by her husband Ronald; sisters: Ada Fontain (Jim), Mary Dawe (Bill), Rene Havaaldsen (Nels), Marina Dawe (Mackie), Edith Ryan (Bill); brothers: Raymond Keefe (Dorothy), Irving Keefe (Phyllis), Calvin Keefe (Edna). Leaving to mourn son David and his daughter Morgan VanHaden (Matt) and their children: Logan and Augustus; son Calvin (Bernice) and their children: Jane O’Neill (Heath) and their children: Sophie, Sarah and Jennifer Miles (Chris King) and their son Isaac; son Peter (Julia Bloomquist) and their son Edwin; son Brian and his children: Keltie (Richard Wilson) and their children: Caleb, Jordie; son Drew (Chesley); daughter Linda (Randolph Crocker) and their children: Sarah, Helen and Marc; also leaving to mourn sisters: Janette Keefe and Elsa (Roy Batten); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. At Gwen’s request cremation has taken place. The family would like to thank the staff at Cambridge Estates and Hoyles North 1 for the excellent care and respect shown to Gwen during her stay. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 from 10 a.m. - 12 noon. Funeral service to take place from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at 2 p.m. with interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
