Sherman Estabrooks
Sherman Estabrooks, age 83, of Sackville, passed away peacefully at the Moncton City Hospital on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 after a short illness.
Born in Sackville, he was a son of the late Howard and Blanche (Goodwin) Estabrooks.
Together with his father Howard and brother Chester, Sherman ran Estabrooks Plumbing and Heating for many years, retiring in 1986. He was a long time member of the Sackville Fire Department, and past Chief. A mason, he was a Past Master and member of Sussex Lodge, #4.
Sherman will be dearly missed by his wife Lois (Robson) of Sackville; sister Elsie Roberts, Quispamsis; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Chester and Arnold.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge St. Sackville (506-364-1300) where visiting hours will take place Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Funeral Home on Monday, August 10, 2009 at 2 p.m., David Jones LPM, officiating. Burial will follow in the Sackville Cemetery.
