Georgina Eileen Wheeler (nee Anderson) ,71, of Summerville, SC and formerly of Lincolnton, NC passed away at home on Sunday, May 1, 2011. She was born in Saint John, NB, Canada on March 19, 1940 to the late Harold “Teddy” and Christina (Simpson) Anderson and was granddaughter of George and Annie (Hall) Simpson of Glenn Falls.
Mrs. Wheeler was a Graduate of Simonds High School, 1958. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, reading a good book, the love of her dog Maggie and spending warm summer days relaxing in the pool.
Mrs. Wheeler is survived by her husband of 24 years, Robert Wheeler of Summerville, SC; one sister, Cheryl Lenton and her husband Brian of Greenwood, NS, Canada; two daughters, Jennifer Wade and her husband Robert of Buford, GA and Suzanne Carver and her husband Jeff of Fletcher, NC; four step-children, Patricia Wheeler and Joseph Wheeler both of Charleston, SC, Renee Homesley and her husband Smitty of Maiden, NC, Jeff Wheeler of Los Angeles, CA; five grandchildren; one niece and one nephew.
Graveside services will be 2:30 Friday at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Lincolnton. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the ASPCA or your local Salvation Army.
