19 May, 1956 - 02 May 2011. It is with heavy hearts that the family of Daniel Gerard Griffiths regrets to announce his passing on 02 May 2011, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by father Thomas, brother Thomas, mother-in-law Dorothy Mercer, father-in-law Shears Mercer and sister-in-law Gladys Dixon. Leaving to mourn loving and devoted wife Barb; sons: Joe, Lee (daughter-in-law Julia Crewe); precious grandson Connor; mother Josephine; sister Debbie Janzen (Pete); brothers: Bill, Walt (Ella), Brian (Cindy), Rod, Chris (Lori); sisters-in-law: Joan Ivy, Sue Goosney (Gerald), Ros Lewis (Frank), Shelley Griffin (John); brothers-in-law: George Mercer (Elaine), John Mercer (Nora), Wendell Mercer, Dave Mercer (Gail), Glen Mercer (Susan), Darry Mercer, Danny Mercer, Paul Mercer (Tina); also leaving behind a large circle of family and friends. Visitation Wednesday, May 4, 2011, 2-9:30 p.m., Thursday, May 5, 10 a.m. - 9:30 p.m., Friday 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, May 6th at 3 p.m. from the Roman Catholic Church in Long Harbour.
