Passed away suddenly at St. Clare’s Hospital, August 10th, 2009, age 72 years. Predeceased by his darling wife Hilda (nee Skanes). Leaving to mourn daughter Michelle Keough (Bill), Portugal Cove; son Joseph (Bonnie), Whitby, Ontario; precious grandson Joseph; brother-in-law Gord Skanes (Doris), Bell Island, as well as other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation with the Cremains will take place at Pendergast’s Funeral Home on Friday, August 14th, 2009 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 15th, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Michael’s Church, Bell Island. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Wabana Boys and Girls Club or Touch of Class supporting Disable Children of Bell Island. Reception for family and friends will take place at Masonic Hall, Bell Island, following Inurnment at St. Boniface Cemetery.
