At Baie Verte, Newfoundland on Saturday, April 30, 2011 of Cpl. Jason Derry RCMP age 45 years. Beloved husband of Donna (nee Sherren) and loving father of Brandon and Connor. Son of John Derry (Fran Reese) and Sharon Moore (Sherman Buchanan) Son-in-law of Elvin and Shirley Sherren. Dear brother of Sebastian (Colleen) Derry, Andrea Derry-MacCormac and Felicity Derry Measham (Jeremy). Brother-in-law of Gary (Janice) Sherren, Kevin (Linda) Sherren, Norma-Jean (Wade) Waugh, Lorna-Mae (Alan) Spence, Wendy (Michael) Doucette and Darlene (John) Decourcey. Jason is also lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his grandparents John and Marie Derry, George and Mary Moore and his nephew Derek Spence. Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 1:45 on Saturday afternoon, then transferred to St. Dunstan's Basilica for funeral mass at 2 p.m. Interment to follow in Sherwood Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Friday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
