Munroe, Paul Douglas – 46, Guelph, Ontario, formerly of Truro passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2009 in Guelph General Hospital, Guelph, Ontario. Born in Truro, he was a son of Sterling Shipley and the late Sylvia (Sutherland) Munroe. Paul moved to Alberta at a very young age to begin a career in the Construction Trade. He was a Journeyman Construction Craft Laborer and was a member of the International Labor Union of North America. Surviving are children, Alexandra Cossette, Manitoba, Jade Vanner, Paige Vanner, Benjamin Vanner, all of Edmonton, AB; sisters, Wendy (Charles) Countaway, Edmonton, AB, Amanda Archibald (Sterling MacRae), Bible Hill, Angela Munroe (John Weatherbee), Truro Heights, Brandice Munroe (Dana Weatherbee), Belmont; brothers, Layton (Lisa), Ontario, Ralph (Karen), Debert and Vernon, Edmonton, AB.; many nieces and nephews. Besides his mother, he was predeceased by his son, Jason Munroe. Visitation will be held Saturday, August 22 from 12 p.m., until time of memorial service at 2 p.m., in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro, Pastor Greg Porter officiating with burial in Truro Heights Baptist Church Cemetery.
