It is with great sadness that the family of the late Hilda Elizabeth Park announce her passing on Thursday, August 13th, 2009 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 67 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband of 44 years David, daughters: Betty Best (Melcolm Smith), Cox’s Cove, Jenny (Brent) Payne, McIvers, Tammy (Darren) Park, Cox’s Cove and Lori (Eugene) Brown, Arnprior, Ontario; grandchildren: Shelley Best, Robert Park, Marvin Park, Robin Brown, Tia Brown, Kyle Brown, Aamirah Brown and Brandon Park; great-grandchildren: Damian McLeod and Jacqueline Park; sisters: Geraldine (Walter) Cox, Lillian (Ralph) Abbott and Julia Osbourne all of Cox’s Cove. As well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Norman and Annie Park, grandson Jamie Park, sisters Jean, Mildred and Gloria Park, brothers Utley, Raymond and Alfred Park. Friends may visit St. Nicholas’ Anglican Church in Cox’s Cove on Saturday and Sunday from where the funeral service will be held on Monday, August 17th, 2009 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Malcolm Palmer officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy flowers graciously accepted or donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Mark’s Avenue, Corner Brook.
